Seasonal Project
Maspindzelo! (Host) – If you go into the depth of this word, you will go back to the Middle Ages, when the Persians addressed the owners of fundukis (hotels) with the following words: “Aspin ja” meaning “the horse is delivered” in Persian. The combination of these words gave birth to the word Maspindzelo – the Lord of Home and Feast, according to Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani’s explanation. Despite a distinguished hospitability, Maspindzelo!betaniashi will fascinate you with its conceptual interior - wicker peasant houses in a pine forest, an open yard, hammocks, open thone (Georgian bakery) and brazier, where bread is baked and kid is roasted in front of you… Khinkali is followed by other traditional dishes: Mtsvadi, Kabab, Lamb Chakapuli, spit-roasted chicken … Georgian songs with live performance as well coolness unusual for summer makes the visit to Maspindzelo! betaniashi especially pleasant for the Tbilisites.
